Last year as a member of the New York Giants, Landon Collins wasn’t allowed to hit running back Saquon Barkley. Now that the safety combined division rival Washington Redskins, he is free to smash away.
“I have been ready to handle Saquon,” Collins said over the weekend at his charity softball event, through Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com. “That’s my guy, however. All love to him and he has been doing his thing as most of us know. But when I get to meet him in the pit this time, it’s likely to become full-go.”

Last season with Big Blue,” Collins joked that given Barkley’s blend of size and speed, he was thankful he didn’t need to tackle the NFL’s reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Now it is his job to material Barkley from the hole for 2 games per year. It said than accomplished.
After moving on from the group that drafted himCollins added that he believes he is in a better system for his skill set than the one the Giants conducted last year under defensive coordinator James Bettcher.
“I really don’t feel as if I bleed blue anymore,” Collins said, via NJ.com. “I feel like [the Redskins] understand my value and how they’ll use me in their defense. I don’t feel as though I had been used within the shield that I was playing ”
One reason the Giants let Collins walk this offseason was the plot fit that is suspicious. Now the 25-year-old has the opportunity to verify that decision wrong, first by stuffing Barkley in the hole repeatedly.
